Rashtriya Computer Literacy Drive….. The Birth of an Idea
Rashtriya Computer Literacy Drive is an initiative by Sunita Infotech to make "India 100% Computer Literate…" and spread the Quality Education on IT with a difference.
The objective of the mission is to enable individuals & enterprises nationwide to achieve greater success by providing knowledge, skills, solutions & services through pioneering efforts and usage of appropriate technology at a very affordable cost. The fees collected is being low, will help the economically backward as well as Organised sector of the urban and rural areas respectively.
The National Task Force on Information Technology Presented a report to Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee in August 1998 seeks to set India on a high growth path on the Information age. In the Third (3rd) part of this report "on enabling IT for all" the Action Plans calls for "OPERATION KNOWLEDGE". The aim of this National Campaign will be to Universalize Computer Literacy and also to spread the use of Computers and IT in education. "OPERATION KNOWLEDGE" is to be developed into a Comprehensive Policy within the next three months. The report also states that computers are to be made available in every school, Polytechnics, Colleges, Universities, and Public Hospitals in the Country by the Year 2003.

Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society (SCWDS) is a professionally managed committed NGO, registered under West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961, Govt. of West Bengal, active in community capacity building and issue based networking. The primary focus of SCWDS is on the problems of the poor in their struggle to obtain a life of justice and dignity. Environment stabilization, food security and empowerment of the community for self-governance are the most important components of its mission. Gender justice, natural resource management, and livelihood security are our primary areas of concern.
Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society formed The Institute of Advance Studies with the noble aim of promoting education for the youth of our country. The Institute of Advance Studies was set up to provide vocational training with special emphasis on Computer Training to create awareness in Information Technology. The institute imparts training in different fields of Information technology within affordable fee of the common mass.
Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society are contenting Computer Training under The Institute of Advance Studies classes for poor boys & girls in the monthly fees of Rs.200/- and thus helping the poor to get computer education which is the dream of them.
